Emulsion Transfer
Polaroid Emulsion Transfer

To create an Emulsion Transfer I
submerge the picture in hot water
and let it soak. Once the emulsion
layer bubbles up and is loose, the
image is transferred to a tray of
cold water where the paper backing
is separated. The thin emulsion
membrane can be transferred to
another surface; stretched, wrinkled
and torn into different shapes.
